- Lake Matheson walk, near Fox Glacier is a MUST DO item if you are in the area. Some of the best pictures from our NZ trip are from the Lake Matheson Walk.
- Time your visit to do the walk around sunset to get the best views.
- There is a highly rated restaurant right by the parking lot where you can have drinks / dinner after the sunset walk. We visited NZ in January (summer) when it gets dark around 10PM, so the restaurant was closed by the time we finished our walk.
