James Cole (Napa) – good setting, good location, good wine, no view
Signorello Estate (Napa) – Good views
Mumm (Napa) – good setting, good sparkling wine, can get pretty crowded (requires 21+)
Louis M Martini (St Helena/Napa) – good setting, OK wine ($60 tasting)
Clos Pegase (Calistoga) – No views, interesting building
MacRostie Winery & Vineyards (Healdsburg) – Good View, Not crowded
Hanna Winery (Healdsburg) – Good View, Picnic Tables, Not crowded
Artesa Estate Vineyards and Winery (Napa) – Great views (Vault like setting and pool at the entrance)
Castello di Amorosa (Calistoga / Napa Valley) – the castle is worth checking out once, wines are OK
Chateau Montelena (Calistoga / Napa Valley) – Historically significant winery, impressive Chateau, nice ambience, World famous Chardonnay
Jamieson Ranch Vineyards + Roots Run Deep Winery (Napa) – two wineries on the same property, great driveway, great views, awesome outdoor seating, good wines, cheese plate available
Domaine Chandon (Yountville / Napa Valley) – big commercial busy operation, part of the LVMH empire, good sparkling wine, this one is VERY skippable
Sterling Vineyards (Calistoga / Napa Valley) – cable car to get up the hill to the winery, great views from the top, self-guided walk-around tour of the winery, ticket includes the cable car ride and a tasting, wines are average
Rutherford Hill Winery (Rutherford // Napa Valley) – nice historical barn building, reasonably-priced cellar tour, picnic benches avail, good views ($60 pp)
Viansa Sonoma (Sonoma) – Great views, Good outdoor seating. This is by far the best tasting experience in Napa/Sonoma. Buy a bottle (reasonable prices) and a cheese plate and find a place on the terrace.
Gundlach Bundschu (Sonoma) – OK views, outdoor picnic tables, Cheese plate available
St Francis Winery (Santa Rosa) – Good setting, good wine, Cheese pairing and Food pairing available
- Jacuzzi Vineyards – Good wine, good setting. Also offers olive oil tasting. Good balsamic vinegar avail in gift shop.
Cline Cellars – Crowded tasting room, suboptimal location, average wines – SKIP

- V Sattui (St. Helena) – Has a deli, Great garden with lots of picnic tables – VERY touristy
